When it comes to homemade goats milk soap recipes without lye melt and pour bases are our friends. Because the base soap has already been created, taking the nasty ole lye part out of the equation, we can focus on making soap fun.

All of these homemade goats milk soap recipes without lye start with the same base.

There are a few other things you will need for making homemade goats milk soap recipes without lye too. You need soap molds for sure and a few other odds n ends you might want would be:

  • Essential Oils
  • Colorants
  • Additives like flower parts, ground up almonds (almond flour), ground oatmeal, tea particles, coffee grounds, even charcoal.

Phew, now we are ready. Don’t worry if you don’t have the exact stuff, all brand new. I started making homemade soap by melting down shards of soap and then reforming them into a variety of shapes. Here is a recipe that you can make with stuff you have hanging around so long as you grabbed your goats milk soap base from Amazon, JoAnnes or Michaels.

A couple notes about melt and pour soaps. You do still need to let them harden. But you don’t need to worry about curing. Curing is the process needed to make sure the whole soponification process has been completed and that there isn’t random lye still in the soap.

Orange & Cinnamon Goats Milk Soap Recipes Without Lye

  • Goats Milk Soap Base
  • Orange Essential Oil
  • Cinnamon
  • A Soap Mold

Chop the base up and melt it in the microwave or in a double boiler. I go for the microwave as it is faster & less hassle. Once the base is melted add in about ten drops of orange essential oil per pound of base melted. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon (more if you’d like, or less). Then pour the mixture into your soap mold. After a day or two remove from the mold and let harden for a couple weeks.

Note about soap molds. You can spend money on them but seriously the only thing you need to remember is that they can’t be aluminum. Cardboard is fine. You also need to be able to remove the soap from the mold once it is set. For that wax paper works great. This is why silicon is so popular. Can I tell you how much I love my purple insert for the rectangular wood box mold I finally acquired? So much easier to remove the soap to cut.

You can substitute goats milk soap base for glycerin or even plain soap bases. You can even combine the different soap bases in layers. Making homemade soap without having to mess with lye is as simple as starting with a base. Once you get comfortable with this you might want to try your hand at cold process. Chose Your Base

Onсе уоu dеtеrmіnе which base you wоuld like tо start with, you juѕt have tо find thе right tubеѕ, flаvоrіng and еѕѕеntіаl oils. Buуіng tubes саn bе еаѕу аnd incredibly сhеар іf уоu find a whоlеѕаlеr. It’ѕ іmроrtаnt to rеmеmbеr thаt not аll wholesalers require a hіgh mіnіmum fоr уоur order. Look fоr a company thаt wіll ѕеll lір balm tubеѕ at a whоlеѕаlе price fоr аnу quantities. When ѕtаrtіng out, I’d rесоmmеnd lооkіng for сlеаr tubеѕ, that way you can see your fіnіѕhеd product аnd how іt lооkѕ after іt ѕіtѕ fоr a whіlе.

Easy homemade lip balm recipes – flavoring & essential oils

Flavoring аnd еѕѕеntіаl оіlѕ аrе next. Whеn searching for flavoring, lооk fоr something that won’t bе too strong. Mоѕt реорlе аѕѕосіаtе ѕtrоng ѕсеnt оr flavor with lір glоѕѕ, not lір balm. Remember, it’s always bеttеr to start оff wіth a ‘nоt ѕtrоng enough’ flаvоr thаn аn overpowering оnе.

Sо уоu hаvе your base аnd flаvоrіng, nоw іt’ѕ tіmе tо think about еѕѕеntіаl oils. Thіѕ іѕ thе раrt where уоu саn rеаllу сuѕtоmіzе. Yоu саn add aloe or jоjоbа оіl to thе mіx tо add mоіѕturе. If you want a strong рrоtесtіоn against thе sun, аdd an SPF. Thе possibilities аrе endless.

Once you hаvе еvеrуthіng уоu nееd, the рrосеѕѕ is ѕіmрlе. You wіll start by melting the base іn a dоublе broiler (іf уоu аrе wоrkіng wіth smaller ԛuаntіtіеѕ) and оnсе heated, уоu саn mix in уоur flаvоrіng аnd еѕѕеntіаl oils. Be sure tо mix properly, аt least fіvе mіnutеѕ when melted to еnѕurе the рrоduсt combines properly.

What comes next?

Onсе mіxеd, роur into уоur соntаіnеrѕ. Thіѕ іѕ thе раrt оf the process thаt саn gеt a bіt ѕtісkу. I’d recommend a turkеу baster іf you аrе uѕіng іnduѕtrу ѕtаndаrd ѕіzе tubes (4.25 grams).

From there, you саn ѕеt уоur lір balm upright to dry. If using the іnduѕtrу ѕtаndаrd ѕіzе tubеѕ, and plan оn dоіng lаrgеr ԛuаntіtіеѕ оr using іn thе futurе, lооk оn eBay for ‘mоld hоldеrѕ’. Thеѕе wіll bе ѕmаll, usually styrofoam, соntаіnеrѕ thаt wіll hоld thе lір balm upright whіlе drуіng. It саn hеlр ѕаvе you a hеаdасhе.

Onсе dry, you саn use оn уоur lірѕ аnd you wіll be rеаdу to gо!

Now that you have easy homemade lip balm recipes made what do you do with them?

Yоu саn mаkе lip bаlm аnd gіvе іt out аѕ gіftѕ or раrtу fаvоrѕ. You саn even create lаbеlѕ аnd ѕеll уоur creations оn ѕіtеѕ like еBау оr Etѕу. As for ѕресіfіс mеаѕurеmеntѕ оf each іngrеdіеnt, that wіll depend оn how muсh mix уоu wаnt tо make аnd how bіg уоur lip bаlm соntаіnеrѕ аrе. It’ѕ really mоrе оf аn аrt thаn a ѕсіеnсе. Making Soap From Soap Scraps – Don’t Let Those Shards Go To Waste

3 ways to make soap from soap scraps.

Making soap from soap scraps is an easy way to recycle your soap remnants. We are going to talk about three ways to go about making soap from soap scraps.

Milling Your Soap Scraps Is One Approach.

Milling soap scraps involves using a cheese grater or food processor to shred your soap. Add the grated soap to a double boiler or melt it in the microwave. Water, goat’s milk or almond mild can be added at this point to thin it a bit. A little liquid goes a long way. At this point you can either shape it into balls or mold it by hand or in forms.

While you might need to let this dry out before using, it doesn’t need to be re-cured.

I like to do this for guest soaps which make great little gifts. Buy cute soap dishes when you find them on sale. Then you have a fast thoughtful gift for wedding showers, birthday gifts or any other little special event that requires a nominal gift.

Chopping the Scraps to Add as Decoration to New Bars of Soap

Sometimes I will take old soap scraps that are colorful, chop them into smaller random sized pieces and add them to new batches of soap. This can give some interesting designs to your newer soap batches. This also works equally well with glycerine soaps and cold process soaps.

Making soap from soap scraps. The second bar in this picture demonstrates one method.

Make Liquid Soap From Soap Scraps

To make liquid soap from soap scraps you will need about 3 ounces of soap scraps. Grate them down in a food processor, with a cheese grater or use a knife to chop them up finely. You will also need:

  • Water
  • A ѕаuсе раn or роt
  • Essential оіlѕ (optional)
  • Sоар coloring (орtіоnаl)
  • Empty ѕоар dіѕреnѕеrѕ

Here is how the process goes:

Grаtе or fіnеlу сhор a bаr оf soap (уоu’ll nееd four оunсеѕ of ѕоар fоr thіѕ rесіре). Yоu саn grаtе your ѕоар bу hаnd оr in a food рrосеѕѕоr. A fооd рrосеѕѕоr іѕ dеfіnіtеlу the fаѕtеѕt approach.

Bring fоur сuрѕ of water tо a bоіl on the stove. Thеn, turn оff thе heat, and аdd уоur ѕоар flаkеѕ. Stir to mеlt thе soap. Cоntіnuе stirring until the mіxturе is fully combined. At thіѕ роіnt the mіxturе wіll bе vеrу liquidy.

Allоw thе mixture tо сооl fоr аt least 15 mіnutеѕ. Then, stir it аgаіn. Thе ѕоар ѕhоuld bе ѕlіghtlу thicker nоw. Allоw the ѕоар tо сооl fоr аnоthеr ѕеvеrаl hоurѕ оr оvеrnіght.

Stіr tо check thе consistency. If it ѕееmѕ tоо liquidy, rеhеаt it and аdd more ѕоар flаkеѕ. If it ѕееmѕ tоо thick, reheat іt and аdd mоrе wаtеr. Thе mоіѕturе соntеnt vаrіеѕ frоm one batch of soap scraps tо the nеxt, ѕо уоu’ll рrоbаblу hаvе to dо a bіt оf twеаkіng to get уоur rесіре juѕt rіght.

Onсе you’re satisfied wіth thе consistency оf your lіԛuіd ѕоар, аdd a fеw drорѕ оf еѕѕеntіаl оіl аnd/оr coloring, іf dеѕіrеd. The essential оіl соntеnt ѕhоuld nоt еxсееd 2% of thе rесіре; 1%, іf сhіldrеn wіll be uѕіng іt.

Thеn, роur уоur soap іntо уоur ѕоар dіѕреnѕеrѕ, аnd еnjоу.

There you have it. Three ways of making soap from soap scraps to get the most out of your soap making efforts.

Homemade Shaving Soap Recipe That Works Best Wet

Only three ingredients are used to create this luxurious homemade shaving cream that Melody Joy shared over on  her blog

Only 2 ingredients plus water to make this super luxurious homemade shaving cream recipe.

homemade soap recipe

1 cup Dr. Bronner’s almond liquid castile soap (or your choice, but almond is fab)!
1 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup baking soda

[amazon_link asins=’B000HK1ON0,B018ELIYA4,B01M7RNBZA,B00KF5STQC’ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’hartnana-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’bc711414-f577-11e7-8289-f7354113168e’]

Stick blender
Stock pot (8 quart or larger)
Rubber spatula
Slotted spoon
Small mixing bowl
Pint size jar (wide mouth)

[amazon_link asins=’B00VF1NI5M,B01G2W5IZG,B01HETW85E’ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’hartnana-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’842d3d19-f577-11e7-96e8-25d473280400′]

STEP 1: Combine all ingredients in the stock pot and cook. Heat over medium-high, stirring slowly and consistently until a plume of foam reaches to just below the rim of the pot. (Watch carefully! This only takes a couple minutes). Turn off heat and remove the pot to an empty sink (in case it foams over, which I’ve had happen and it’s rather a mess).

STEP 2: Allow the mixture to cool for about 4 hours. As it cools, the plume of foam will shrink down to a sticky thick crust with a shallow watery substance separated and hanging out at the bottom of the pot.

STEP 3:Scoop the solids into a bowl. Using a slotted spoon, collect the sticky mass of solids into the small mixing bowl. Discard the leftover watery substance that remains. (This substance has lost it’s poop and it isn’t good for much. I tried using it on dishes and the result were sad. Somehow, all the soapiness and lathering action is captured in the thick paste, so what’s left is anti-climatic).

STEP 4: Whip it. Place about half of the cooled mixture into a wide-mouthed pint-size jar. Using the stick blender, whip the mix, moving the mixer up and down until you have a thick, rich cream that looks like something you’d glob onto a dessert. I like to use the stick blender and pint jar this way, because it just seems to work best for creating the right texture (very much like traditional shaving cream). The stick blender also makes for easy clean up.

STEP 5: Store and enjoy. Store your shaving cream in a separate pint-size jar, or the same one you used for mixing. You can keep your jar of shaving soap in your shower, but keep it sealed when not in use so it doesn’t dry out. It’s best used within two weeks, but it will last much longer. Over time, it may settle and become a bit stiffer than at first. You can try swiftly stirring it up with just a finger (you may be amazed at how well this creams it up again). Or you could simply give it another whiz with the stick blender to make it good as new.

4 Ingredient DIY Homemade Shaving Cream Recipe

Rachel Hollis offers this easy to make homemade shaving cream recipe as a fast last minute DIY father’s day gift idea. Personally I think this works great for any occasion – maybe even mother’s day?

4 ingredients to make a luxurious homemade shaving cream recipe.

1 cup Shea Butter

1/2 cup Coconut Oil

1/2 teaspoon Jojoba Oil

25 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil

[amazon_link asins=’B017RUI3AY,B00DS842HS,B0019LTGOU,B00PHQJWXS’ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’hartnana-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’1cbf69fe-f573-11e7-b26b-95aa84cbc14a’]

First, soften Shea Butter (it is very hard in natural form)

Add Shea Butter and Coconut Oil to large mixing bowl.

Add Jojoba and Bergamont oils to bowl.

Using a hand mixer, mix all ingredients for 10 minutes. (This will create a light, whipped texture).

Store in an air tight container.

Brandee’s Chic Tip: The key to getting a light, whipped texture is by letting the Shea soften. You can also whip Shea butter with a hand mixer in it’s natural form, but it will result in a thicker, creamier texture that is a little harder to spread evenly over skin.

Three Homemade Shaving Soap Recipes

These three recipes should offer  at least one alternative to enjoying a natural shaving experience. These work perfectly well for men and women. They also make perfect gifts or additions to a gift basket.

Safety first! Always be sure to wear eye protection and gloves. Keep a jug of vinegar on the counter easily accessible in case of spills or splashes. (it is the neutralizing agent for lye) Make sure you mix the lye into the water in a well ventilated area. NEVER DUMP WATER ONTO THE LYE. Bad, bad things can happen that way.

Almond Milk Soap Recipe

  • 18 oz slushy almond milk
  • 6 oz water
  • 6 oz lye
  • 9 oz olive oil
  • 10 oz coconut oil
  • 24 oz vegetable shortening like Crisco

Melt the coconut oil and vegetable shortening. Once the oils are just about melted add olive oil. This will bring the temperature down. You want to have both the oil and water/lye solutions around 100 degrees when you add the water/lye to the oils. Add your lye to the water. I like to do this over ice in a pitcher sitting in a bowl with ice in it. Continue to stir your water as you add the lye S L O W L Y .

Once the oils and the water/lye mixtures are both around 100 degrees add the water/lye mixture to the oils and add  your almond milk at this point.

Now you stir/blend with your stick blender until it reaches trace. Trace looks like thick pudding. If you want to add essential oils, or additions like ground oatmeal, or honey, now is the time.

*Note about adding essential oils. Add them slowly. A few drops at  time. Sometimes essential oils can make  your soap seize. If this happens just re batch it. I talk about that here.

The next step is to pour your soap into the mold of  your choice. Wait 24 hours then dump the soap out of the mold and cut. Let this dry for at least 6 weeks before  using.

Powdered Goats Milk Soap Recipe

To make powdered goats milk soap,  you need to reconstitute powdered goats milk according to the package directions. Put it in a container that you can put in the freezer so that it becomes slushy. Keeping milk cold before adding it to your soap mixture will ensure a whiter bar of soap. If you mix it while the milk is still not super cold you stand the chance of burning the milk solids with the lye/water solution.

Use the recipe for almond milk and follow those directions.

Coconut Milk Soap Recipe

  • Palm oil 8 oz
  • Coconut oil 8 oz
  •  Pure olive oil 8 oz
  • 1 oz castor oil
  • 3.2 oz sodium hydroxide (lye)
  • 3.59 oz distilled water
  • 3.59 oz coconut milk
  • 2 oz fragrance oil

Make sure your coconut milk is slushy before starting this process. Mix your lye into your water. While it is cooling down to 90%s heat up your oils to 90%s too. Mix your water/lye mixture into the oils and add the coconut milk. Mix to trace and then add the essential oil of your choice.

Pour into mold. Let sit for 24 hours before cutting. Let sit for 4 to 6 weeks before using.

How To Preserve Eggplant – 3 Methods That Might Surprise You

How to preserve your eggplants - 3 mouth watering ways

How to preserve eggplant now as summer ends and fall hints at making her appearance. All these beautiful pieces of eggplant goodness, but really how many times can one eat eggplant Parmesan in a month? Let me clue you in on three ways to preserve eggplant that result in wow’s every time!

How to Preserve Eggplant With Olive Oil

One of my favorite ways to preserve eggplant includes lots of garlic and dried chilies smothered in olive oil. Simple yet delicious. You can choose to either cook your eggplant first or dry by salting. I believe it will last longer if you cook it however. This quick video shows you an overview of how to preserve eggplant with olive oil.

Ingredients Used To Preserve Eggplant In Olive Oil

  • Eggplant
  • Black pepper
  • Chili peppers
  • Wine Vinegar
  • Chives
  • Dill
  • Celery Seed

The Steps

Peel (or not)  your eggplant. Slice into smaller pieces. The smaller the pieces, within reason, the more area for the seasonings to be absorbed. Sprinkle with salt then let sit on paper towels for an hour or so. Dry and pack into jars with olive oil in them. She says 1/2 full, but I think you could put a lot more eggplant in using way less olive oil. Covering the eggplant with olive oil for preservation is the goal.

A Little Twist

She also doesn’t cook the spices in vinegar before adding to the jar. This makes the pickling process take longer in my opinion. The way I do it involves putting wine vinegar in a pot adding the spices I like. Then plopping the eggplant pieces in for about 5 minutes. No salting or skinning in my world. Drain the eggplant. Put them in a jar packed pretty tightly and cover with olive oil.

It will keep this way for 3-4 months in your fridge so long as the olive oil covers the eggplant and hardens. If  you are only interested in it keeping for a couple weeks in  your fridge add some garlic cloves you used while pickling them in the vinegar. And also some olives are nice, maybe some parsley for color. Even bell pepper strips or onions added at the boiling stage could be incorporated into the jar.

Eggplant preserved this way tastes so good with crusty artisan bread and a little cheese.

How To Preserve Eggplant by Freezing

Freezing eggplant might seem a little like a no go but you would be wrong. Actually quite an easy process it only requires peeling, cutting, blanching then lay it out on a cookie sheet to freeze. How simple is that? Once they freeze solid put them in a ziplock baggie. I like to put a straw in the bag after sealing it most of the way, then suck out the rest of the air as I pull out the straw. This way there isn’t much oxygen in the bag before going back into the freezer. This method will give  you eggplant for another six months of so.

You might try freezing a variety of sizes of eggplant pieces. That way you can enjoy fresh eggplant Parmesan when you want it. Though still be able to make those lovely olive oil marinated with other veggies for gifts during the holidays. Nothing says I love you like homemade, right?

How to Preserve Eggplant by Pickling

Preserving eggplant by pickling makes for the most self stable form of preserving eggplant.

Theresa preserves her eggplant this way.

I was watching another video about canning eggplant but it was long and they used vegetable oil which kind of put me off. Vegetable oil is sooo bad for you. At any rate they did have a rather unique method of drying the eggplant. After rinsing the brined eggplant they put it in a clean pillowcase. Then ran it through the dryer on low. Or you could always just do it they way Theresa does.

The ingredients:

Make sure to use 5% vinegar for the cooking process. You also need to be sure to boil the jars and lids. That is what makes the sealing process work. These should be shelf stable for at least 6 months.

Let me know your results! As the Italians say Bon Appetitto!

Beginners Guide To Keeping Bees – It Isn’t As Scary As You Might Think

keeping bees a beginners guide

I remember the feeling of trepidation I had when I decided keeping bees was going to be part of my farm plan. What I really needed was a beginners guide to keeping bees. Instead I found some piecemeal information and went for it.

There are variety of bits you need to know about keeping bees so I’m going to divide this up into sections.

Clothing For Keeping Bees

You are going to want to make sure you have the proper gear for keeping bees. You can either purchase a bee keepers suit or wear light colored clothing that is thick. Duct tape will do the trick for sealing seams. Wear boots and tuck your pant legs into them. If you are worried about getting stung duct tape around the boots.

Next you will  need gloves and a hat with a veil. The gloves do need to fit in a way that you can still operate your fingers. If they are too thick it will be a problem. Too thin and you will get stung.

The Bee Hives & Equipment

There are several types of hives or boxes that you will use for keeping bees. There are the two “supers” and then there are the honey boxes. Into the hives go frames with foundation. This was confusing to me in the beginning. Think of the hives like file cabinets and the frames are the hanging folders.

frame and foundation for beekeeping

Sometimes these are sold separately. They also come in two sizes. One for each of the types of hive; supers and honey hive. Okay so I’ll tell you the truth. I didn’t know that there needed to be foundation when I first got bees. I couldn’t understand why they were building their comb across the frames! Sometimes I’m a dork.

The Supers are bigger boxes that hold the year’s supply of honey for your bees. It is important to make sure that they have at least two full boxes for the winter before you start adding honey hives to the top. When you set up your bees you will only use one super at a time to get them established. They will build their comb and fill it from the inside frames out.

How To Set Up The Bee Boxes

To begin with you will only need one or two supers. These come with a top and a base. They should also have a “door” which is that little piece of brown wood that you can see in the basic beekeeping starter kit above. This door will keep out mice and other varmints. When it comes to setting up your hives you can put them on cinder blocks or on some pallets to at least get them off the ground and make it more challenging for critters to get in. Skunks and mice are notorious for wrecking hives.

Getting and Setting Your Bees

When it comes to getting your bees you might want to check your local farm and country store or extension office. Or look for beekeeping groups in your local area. We actually have a bee club here in Cache Valley that is quite active and very helpful. My friend Charlotte has some more handy tips about buying bees over here on her site Carolina Honey Bees

My method is somewhat different because quite frankly I was a little terrified of getting stung. So what I would do is put the queen in as he shows. Then I would put the box upside down on top of the frames and put the second super without any frames in it and then cover the whole hive. After a day or so I would go and take the second box off and put the lid back on the bottom super. This way all the bees got down in the frames.

Feeding Your Bees In The Spring

Ideally you will have your bees installed just as the honey flow starts. Where we live it is when the dandelions start to come out. Bees love dandelions. Before they can get nectar they need to have a supply of sugar water. Your bees will need a source of water and access to a variety of plants that blossom. These recipes for making sugar water for your bees to encourage different forms of behavior is from beekeepers Guild.

1:2 One Part Sugar to Two Parts Water:

Used in the spring to stimulate egg laying.  Use only when enough honey is available for feeding the brood:

1 pound sugar to 1 quart water
5 pounds sugar to 5 quarts water

Stir sugar into warm water until dissolved.

1:1 One Part Sugar to One Part Water:

Used in the spring and summer to encourage comb building:

1 pound sugar to 2 cups water
5 pounds sugar to 2½ quarts water

Bring water to a boil and turn off heat.  Stir in sugar until dissolved and cool.

2:1 Two Parts Sugar to One Part Water:

Used in the fall to increase food stores in preparation for winter:

1 pound sugar to 1 cup water
5 pounds sugar to 5 cups water

Bring water to a boil and stir in sugar.  Continue stirring over heat until all crystals dissolve.  Remove from heat and cool.  Each gallon of syrup increases the colony’s reserves by about 7 pounds

What About Swarms

In my youth, the thought of swarming bees was something out of a Hitchcock movie, but today, they are a welcome source of bees. If you are fortunate enough to find a swarm you can brush them into a hive. The important piece of information is to make sure you get the queen in there too.

The bee swarm in my yard

One year some of my bees actually swarmed. I was fortunate enough that they only traveled a short distance to one of my baby fruit trees. This picture is of us setting up the hive to drop the cluster into. We did manage to get the queen. The hive did thrive that year.

Maintaining Your Bees Health

You want your hive to look like this guys. Lots of healthy happy bees making honey and laying eggs. If he separates the hives then the one hive without the queen will make a queen out of one of the eggs. The queen cells look like peanuts. That is how to tell your getting a new queen.

Guarding against Verolla Mites. This video will explain what they are and how to protect your bees.

Harvesting The Honey

This is the part we have all been waiting for! Harvesting the honey.  Here are several ways to harvest. Some using machinery and some the old fashioned way. Before you can harvest honey, however, you need to add a queen excluder above the second super. You will then put the honey hives on top of that. This is how you get only honey in the honey frames instead of the brood, honey and pollen.

If you only have one or two hives the above method is easy and cheap. You can filter out the wax. It is useful in making lotion and lip balm

Should you be part of a larger group of beekeepers you might want to go in together and purchase a honey extractor. Or perhaps you decided to get a bunch of hives going at one time.

Preparing Them For Winter

Probably one of the most important aspects of keeping bees is to prepare them well for winter. There are several things you should keep in mind.

  • They don’t like wind
  • They need a food source

I put straw bales around my hives to protect them from the cold and draft. Here is a good video about preparing your bees for winter.

Some Final Thoughts on Keeping Bees

Like most things in life, you just got to get in there and try it. Keeping bees in a wonderful adventure. There is nothing like watching a bee come back with pollen on its legs. Or watching a bee hatch from its cell. Amazing little creatures these honey bees.

Here is one last video about mistakes this guy made. I find that if I am aware of some mistakes at least I won’t make those – I will find different mistakes to make.
